Xythos provides a variety of ways for you to better manage physical documents. The service supports most popular image scanners and MFP's (Multi-function Printers) which means you probably already have a device that can help you get started organizing all of your paper documents online.
Ricoh Connector for Enterprise Document Management Suite
The Xythos Connector for Ricoh provides an easy-to-use interface for scanning documents directly into Xythos Enterprise Document Manager, without intermediate products or hardware devices. It is meant to be extremely easy to use while maintaining a high level of security.
Scanning Documents
Scan documents to your local PC and upload them later or scan them directly into your Xythos on Demand online folders, depending on the capabilities of your scanner/MFP. Xythos supports all image file formats and can also be used to store metadata about your documents for improved organization and retrieval.
Uploading Documents to Xythos
If your scanner/MFP is network compatible you can scan documents directly into your Xythos folders using the Xythos Drive. The Xythos Drive will create a mapped letter drive of your Xythos folders providing a destination the scanner can recognize. If you have an Internet-compatible printer or MFP, follow the manufacturer's instructions for making Xythos a remote resource that it can scan to. You can also drag and drop or copy scanned documents directly from your desktop into your Xythos folders.
Xythos Filer
Xythos Filer is client application for the Xythos Enterprise Document Management Suite that enables knowledge workers to easily upload scanned or electronic documents from their local system into Enterprise Document Manager along with any classification and metadata information or record properties. Designed specifically to simplify the classification and records declaration process, Xythos Filer is an easy-to-use solution for those that work from desktop environments and need to upload indexed content or records into Enterprise Document Manager.
