Eliminate File Attachments
Xythos eliminates problems and risks created by email file attachments. It replaces attachments with secure file links (URLs) that can be password protected and safely exchanged with users outside an organization via SSL connections. As a result, there is no need to distribute multiple copies of a file. Collaborators also gain the benefit of being having a link to the latest version their files helping reducing work duplication and confusion. Finally, Xythos maintains firewall integrity while it shares files through the extranet, requiring only a single open port to support many file sharing sessions.
In the example below, Outlook is automatically launched as the default email client. Other email clients can be launched in the same fashion.
