New Features
Thumbnail View
Now, you can quickly identify images with the thumbnail view directly from the DL Web view. This new feature presents thumbnails for image formats like .tiff, .jpeg, .gif and others. PDF documents can be viewed by installing open source ImageMagik software. Other file types will present an icon based on the file’s extension. Thumbnails can be resized and the view option can be saved as a default view for the user or for the folder.
Public and Private Comments
Sometimes you want all to view comments on a file or folder and other times comments should be reserved for certain users. The public and private comment feature allows you to do both and create, delete, and view file and folder comments. While public comments can be created and viewed by all private comments can only be viewed by their author and document administrator.
Lock and Checkout
With DL 7.2, Lock and Checkout options are no longer buried in the Manage pages, providing quick and easy access to these important collaborative features. Simply use the right-click on the Web 2.0 interface or use the toolbar to lock and checkout documents. Built-in intelligence provides the appropriate option for each file. Non-versioned files are locked or unlocked as appropriate, while documents containing version control are either checked-out or in, as needed. This avoids confusion on the correct action for various files types.
Relative date searches
Create more powerful saved searches using relative dates. For example, users can search for files created in the last six days, weeks, months or years.
Other new features
Subscription expiration option helps users to easily clear old subscriptions that are no longer needed.
Bookmark and searches menus helps more easily find bookmarks and saved searches.
Bookmark folders improves the organization and finding of bookmarks.
