Xythos' WebFile Server OEMed in SASŪ9

WebDAV functionality now available to SASŪ business intelligence customers

San Francisco, CA, May 26, 2004 - Xythos Software, the leading developer of simple document and file management software, today announced that SAS has integrated its WebFile Server technology with the SASŪ Enterprise Business Intelligence Server offering, including the newly released SASŪ9.

The integration of Xythos technology with SASŪ9 is the most recent step in the two companies' relationship, which began when SAS introduced Xythos' WebDAV-based document management technology in SAS Drug Development. This move was followed by a similar integration with SAS Corporate Compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley, which addresses the issues of the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.

With the release of SASŪ9, SAS began shipping the WebFile Server with the SAS<Ū Enterprise Business Intelligence Server, and the SASŪ Information Delivery Portal. "The combination of SAS and Xythos technology helps SAS customers gain greater utility from their enterprise information by delivering data to decision makers that is filtered for their interests and security privileges via the Web," said Don Hatcher, vice president of technology strategy at SAS.
