Xythos Announces Workflow Solutions at AIIM 2004
Integration with Dralasoft Yields Cost Saving Alternative to Traditional BPM Systems
New York, NY, March 9, 2004- Xythos Software, a leading developer of simple document and file management software, today announced a partnership with Dralasoft to provide integrated workflow solutions for the Xythos WebFile family of products. The combined Dralasoft/Xythos workflow solutions were developed in response to growing customer demand for a simpler, open standards based alternative to complex business process management systems that can be quickly and easily implemented within existing enterprise environments.
The Xythos WebFile Server and Dralasoft Workflow Engine both represent the new class of Java based middleware applications design to leverage today's Internet standards such as WebDAV and XML to provide the flexibility and scalability required in widely distributed organizations. "The growing need to better manage documents and files within a broad range of business processes is forcing organizations to seek more automated methods," stated Ed Miller, CEO of Xythos. "Xythos provides a secure platform which can enable a broad variety of workflow processes and help customers improve their efficiency and ability to better comply with industry regulations," added Suresh, Ramaswamy, President and CTO of Dralasoft.
Under the terms of their agreement Xythos will provide its customers with a complete range of Dralasoft products including the Dralasoft Workflow Engine, Workflow Manager and Workflow Studio customized to work with the Xythos WebDAV enabled platforms and applications. Xythos has already begun delivery of these bundled workflow solutions to customers including Rockefeller University and Time Inc. At The Rockefeller University, the nation's first institution devoted solely to biomedical research and already associated with 23 Nobel laureates, Xythos and Dralasoft will be used to help automate research pipelines of documents between clinical and principal investigators. The solution will help improve the hospital's investigative review board process, enabling secure and automated document exchange between both internal and external investigative participants.
