Xythos unveils records management, and scanning solutions

San Francisco - Xythos Software, Inc., a developer of internet file management software for secure access and file sharing behind firewalls, introduced two new products. Developed by channel partner Fortis Technologies, Inc. (Princeton Junction, NJ), Xythos has productized and is marketing WebFile Records Manager and WebFile Scan Manager. WebFile Records Manager can map the location of physical documents as well as digital ones using bar codes. It also has a redaction feature. Scan Manager supports document and bar code capture, associating them with appropriate metadata. Both products are expected to begin shipping in December 2003. Xythos will be marketing the two new products through channel partners. "We are continuing to cautiously increase our channel with partners like Fortis," comments Jim Till. "Ideally, we are seeking integrators with WebDAV [world wide web distributed authoring and versioning] and XML [extensible markup language] capabilities. Development and support capabilities are also priorities for Xythos partners."
