Xythos Enterprise Document Manager allows government administrators to define and modify Document Classes, Document Class Properties, Retention Rules, and Permission Templates. Administrators can also add retention rules and permission templates to a document and create a comprehensive report of all expired documents that are eligible for deletion. As a result, agencies are able to better classify and locate documents.
Use case:
New executives are overloaded with information and don't know what materials are for public consumption, which materials are outdated, and which materials are relevant for viewing. With Document Classes and Properties, a content owner can automatically tag documents with key words and properties indicating that it is a public document. Retention rules also help to bring existing content for review so that it can be updated or purged from the system.
