Susan Cheng

General Partner, IDG Ventures
Ms. Cheng joined IDG Ventures in February 1997 and represents IDG Ventures on the boards of Xythos, OpenReach and Stagecast Software. Ms. Cheng joined IDG Ventures from Teknekron Corporation where as Vice President and Treasurer, she represented Teknekron on the boards of seven enterprise software companies ranging from seed startups to mature public entities. Prior to Teknekron, Ms. Cheng was a professor of finance at Columbia University and at UC Berkeley. In addition, she has conducted applied mathematical research at Los Alamos and Argonne National Laboratories. Ms. Cheng has a PhD in finance from Stanford University, an MBA from Wharton and an MA from the University of Illinois at Urbana and a BA from Northwestern University, both in mathematics.


Robert Gersten

Chief Development Officer, Hyperion Solutions
Mr. Gersten is responsible for all product development at Hyperion Solutions, a $700 million provider of Business Performance Management solutions. He currently manages an organization comprising more than 600 engineers in a multi-shore development effort for more than 20 products. Prior to joining Hyperion, Mr. Gersten was a senior vice president for Platinum Technology, a provider of infrastructure software for database and systems management, application development and knowledge management. At Platinum, Mr. Gersten led a comprehensive product integration project across seven software development labs, supported five acquisitions valued at more than $400 million, and successfully integrated the new companies into Platinum.


Ryan McIntyre

Principal, Mobius Venture Capital
Mr. McIntyre represents Mobius Venture Capital (formerly SOFTBANK Venture Capital, not affiliated with Mobius Management Systems, Inc.) In March 2000, he joined the fund full-time as a Netbatsu development officer. Prior to joining Mobius Venture Capital, Mr. McIntyre was co-founder of Excite, now part of Excite@Home. He was a principal engineer of the information retrieval and content management systems for Architext Software, which later became Excite for the company's April 1996 IPO. He was also a key player in the architecture and launch of Excite's community and commerce platforms. Prior to Excite, he was part of the technical staff for the Hewlett Packard Division at Oracle Corporation and Canon Research of America, the research arm of Canon. Mr. McIntyre holds a B.S. in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University.


Ed Miller

CEO and President, Xythos
Mr. Miller brings 20 years of experience in the computer software industry to the Xythos Board, most recently as President and CEO of Xippix, a digital imaging software company that provided core technology to eCommerce leaders including Sotheby's, Advanstar, and Hunter Douglas. In 1993, Mr. Miller founded and served as President of SQL Software, Inc. which was acquired by Platinum Technology. As Senior Vice President of Platinum Technology from 1995 through its acquisition in 1999 by Computer Associates, he was responsible for over 500 employees in three lines of business with annual revenues totaling approximately $300 million. Prior to founding SQL Software, Inc., Mr. Miller focused his talents as Director of Sales for Island Graphics. He has also held positions with both Oracle Corporation and Automatic Data Processing. Mr. Miller began his career as founder of Dark Star Systems, a computer integrator and developer of custom software that was later acquired by MicroAge. Mr. Miller holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from San Francisco State University.


Kevin Wiggen

Chief Technology Officer, Xythos
As the CTO of Xythos, Mr. Wiggen has been responsible for the technical direction of the company since he co-founded Xythos in 1999. Before starting Xythos, Mr. Wiggen channeled his entrepreneurial talents into founding and architecting the Oracle Application's Internet products group which helped drive self-service applications to the desktops of business people worldwide. Over his 5 years with Oracle, Mr. Wiggen tested and selected frameworks, security elements, and emerging technologies for Oracle's Internet technology use in addition to serving on many of Oracle's strategic planning committees. With his unique combination of experience in both Internet and large business enterprise applications, he understands and excels in the development of large-scale, complex, and user-friendly products.

Mr. Wiggen holds a B.S. with high honors in Computer Science from the University of Illinois - Champaign/Urbana.
